I find it so funny that the critters who post on CCWD always claim that Jeff and Jake thrive on hyperbole, yet Toxic Salsa actually does. TS needs to be careful because all food spoils when exposed to the elements., and in this case, memes. I like your style, CJ.

More than hyperbole, they’re projecting it onto Jeff because it is how they operate themselves. It explains all the fears they have about Jake; their side works from a place of forcing ideologies onto others, that’s why they project that fear onto Jake.

The Vladimir Lenin Duel Truth Approach: using anonymous channels to circulate fabricated scandals while simultaneously using the legal system to force “transparency” on others is a textbook exercise in projection and lawfare.

As Mark Twain once so presciently said, which Toxic Salsa obviously has now taken to heart, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story."

Each of us as people only get one top priority.

Kellys is citizen air.

The Port is underwater about $5k a day right now. Just saying. Maybe a conflict of interest. What do I know.

Because the Port is underwater is why I think Kelly Kidwell will be good as a commissioner; his professional background is in finance; he founded his own company in the ‘90s and it’s now across multiple states: https://www.pacificadvisors.com/kelly_kidwell Someone who understands how to improve financial standing for the Port is not a bad thing to me. I can’t share what I talked with him about, but I think he will do good for the Port and I’m really interested to see what he will accomplish in both his roles as a commissioner and CEO of Citizen Air.

The thing about the Port and other committees is that the people who serve as appointees or in elected positions, they are often employed or have their own business, so potential conflicts of interest are extremely common. The difference I see is that Kelly Kidwell already addressed the issue by saying he would recuse himself if there is a conflict of interest; plus, the port commissioners appointed him knowing those conflicts may come up. Since he has no history in the public sector and this is his first appointment like this, I don’t feel a need to be so concerned since he has no history that tells me there’s something to be concerned about.

I understand your views though; there are a lot of challenges to work through at the Port. Since I knew so little about it myself when reading Toxic Salsa’s questionable reporting, I wanted to find out from the people themselves; what I learned is that Salsa has it all wrong.

“Publishing an exposé built entirely on a Facebook comment and “yet-to-be-proven” assumptions without asking the subjects for comment isn’t reporting — it’s a horrendous hit piece.”

Is this not exactly what CC Watchdog does? I mean, he even dedicates an entire day each week to doing this very thing. “Social Media Saturdays”?

How many times has he written a blog post and then have whoever he wrote about respond to him the next day debunking his entire article? Most recently, the ED of Olycap comes to mind. He never asks the subjects of his exposés for comments before writing or publishing articles, many times based on Facebook comments or random emails from his readers. He writes the articles, emails them to the subjects and waits for a response without doing any fact checking whatsoever.

Come on, you can’t really be that dense, Jen. Rules for thee, not for me.

By the way, Jim, I’m so flattered that you went through all the work to create a fake account just to respond to little old me. I see you have no followers, no reads, no subscribers, and no other activity except for this one comment. Looking forward to more. Have fun reporting back to the Dems on Nextdoor. LOL.

On another point, your comment brings to light the hilarious hypocrisy of the Toxic Salsa camp. Apparently hit pieces are wrong when the Watchdog does them, but they are perfectly acceptable with Toxic does them. Toxic Salsa isn’t even willing to rise higher than what is considered such low journalistic standards of the Watchdog. In fact, Toxic is sinking lower by doing exactly what my article points out — not reaching out and turning off comments.

The Toxic Salsa Motto: hit pieces for me, but not for thee. Thanks for the morning LOLs.

“How many times” I don’t know, why don’t you do the research and tell me how many times. LOL.

No, it’s not exactly what CC Watchdog does. While there is no obligation for any blogger to wait to publish before asking questions, Jeff does what Toxic Salsa doesn’t do — he contacts people with questions after he publishes his article giving them an opportunity to address what he has written, and he leaves his comments open to all for anyone to respond.

As well, when Jeff’s corrected and he publishes it that is called a retraction. Where are any retractions from Toxic Salsa when his lies are debunked? Seegers and Kidwell aren’t in cahoots — I spoke with both of them and Toxic obviously didn’t. Jake doesn’t live in a mansion — I read the county parcel information and also emailed Jake about this, and Toxic didn’t. Jake did not buy the 4 Sekiu parcels himself — I spoke with Jake about this and Toxic didn’t. The 4 parcels did not cost $39k — the Zillow listing and the county parcel search both show the sale price was $400k. Where are any of those retractions. Are you that dense? Apparently so. LOL.

In case you don’t listen to the CCWD podcasts, Jeff has done plenty of reaching out in the past without getting responses. His comments are always open for people who want to respond. It is not his fault if people don’t respond or don’t comment. That is on them. However, with Toxic Salsa, how can anyone respond when he doesn’t even reach out to them, or when he blocks comments that go against his narrative?

Nice to see what brings people out of the woodwork — a new commenter who can’t take the heat. All you’re doing is making it more obvious what Toxic Salsa doesn’t allow on their own blog — dissenting comments. LOL.
